Edward Maxwell studied at Sussex University and the Royal College of Music. He has played in numerous shows, including a tour of The Music Man, and has performed, recorded and broadcast with various contemporary music groups such as the New Music Players and Ixion.
He has played the natural trumpet with the Brook Street Band and The 18th Century Concert Orchestra and frequently performs at Hampton Court Palace in period costume. He has appeared as a soloist with the Camerata of London, Surrey ProMusica and Sinfonia da Chiesa both in the UK and in Europe. Ed regularly plays with the National Festival Orchestra.
A keen arranger and composer, his music has been published by Warwick Music. He teaches trumpet at the University of Roehampton. He is married to Sian and has three children: Ben, Oliver and Elin.
